Piercing Aftercare
Follow these simple instructions carefully for the perfect result of your new piercing.
Remember that:
The disposable needle and the jewelry you chose were sterile when used. Your skin was sanitized before the piercing, so it's up to you to take care to avoid infections afterwards, which are the only cause of poor post-piercing hygiene.
The piercing closure is obviously not soldered or glued to your skin, so please be careful not to lose it at night, in the first few days, using small plasters or in any case paying constant attention to ensure everything is proceeding correctly.
The piercings used are sterile and made of G23 Titanium or 316L Steel. They are the highest standard, offering the utmost guarantee of long-term safety. It's extremely unlikely you'll be allergic to them.
Piercing care warnings
Before touching the jewelry and the area around the healing piercing, wash your hands thoroughly using an antibacterial soap.
During healing, do not touch the piercing with dirty hands.
Move the jewel only during the cleaning phases.
Leave the initial jewelry on during the entire minimum healing period (45 days).
To replace your jewelry, please contact me or a professional piercer.
At night, change sheets frequently, especially if you have pets.
Wear clean, comfortable clothing in the piercing area.
Get enough sleep, eat well, avoid unnecessary stress, drug and alcohol use.
The healthier your lifestyle, the easier and faster your piercing will heal.
Instructions for the care and cleaning of body holes
Daily hygiene habits should not change; it is essential to wash once a day for the entire healing period.
Shower as usual. Before leaving the shower, follow these steps: use antibacterial soap to lather the affected area, slide the jewelry first from one side and then the other, washing the surrounding area thoroughly. Rinse thoroughly and thoroughly with running water, leaving no residue. Pat dry gently with sterile gauze.
Use a specific saline solution. Make sure the piercing is thoroughly clean and dry, spray the solution directly onto the piercing, and let it dry without rinsing. Alternatively, make compresses by spraying the product onto sterile gauze, keeping it in place, and letting it act.
Apply the specific saline solution 3 times a day.
Using mouthwashes for oral piercings
Use specific, alcohol-free mouthwashes! They're ideal for daily oral hygiene while your piercing heals.
Rinse for about 20 seconds with 10ml of mouthwash twice a day.
Pay close attention to oral hygiene
Practical advice, what to avoid
Do not use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or iodine, as they are too aggressive and risk drying out the skin, slowing down healing.
Excessive cleaning of the piercing area delays healing and irritates the piercing.
Avoid oral contact with other people's body fluids in the area surrounding the wound.
Do not play with your piercing during the healing period.
Do not swim in swimming pools or hot tubs.
Tips for piercing types
Belly button
avoid belts that are too large and/or tight, corsets and stiff clothing, during healing.
Ear/ear/facial cartilages
Protect the piercing from hairsprays and gels, makeup, lotions, and perfumes. Avoid any contact with any objects, such as headbands, headphones, hats, masks, glasses, and cell phones, that may be used by other people.
Tongue
We recommend eating cold foods, absolutely avoiding spicy and hot foods, maintaining daily oral hygiene, using a soft-bristled toothbrush to clean the tongue, and rinsing with specific mouthwashes.
Nipple
It is recommended to use a clean t-shirt to sleep in and use a clean gauze during the day, during the healing phase.
Genitals
During the entire healing phase, sexual activity is not prohibited, but it must be hygienic and contact with other people's bodily fluids should be avoided. It is recommended to use clean gauze dressings, which should be changed every 12 hours.
